Hello there
About me
Software developer and happy jack of all trades, building for health & life sciences, IoT and energy with .NET, Azure and applied AI.
Background
I’m Ajay Kumar Yellabilli — most people call me Ajay or simply AJ. I’m a software developer with more than eight years of experience taking projects from first conversations to production, mostly in C#, .NET and Microsoft Azure.
My work has spanned healthcare insurance, medical devices and imaging, diagnostics, product lifecycle management and energy & utilities. Along the way I have modernised legacy systems incrementally, built software for regulated (FDA / EU MDR) products, and worked with teams across the US, Europe and India.
Today I’m at Capgemini as a .NET developer and AI Champion, applying GenAI and agentic workflows to real-world software engineering and legacy modernisation for an energy & utilities client.

What I bring
C# & .NET
.NET Framework through .NET 10 — ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF, gRPC, Windows services and WPF/MVVM desktop applications.
Azure & DevOps
Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions pipelines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Entra ID, API Management and ARM templates.
Legacy modernisation
Silverlight/WCF to .NET Core rewrites, SSIS to Azure Data Factory, and phased strangler-fig migrations with safe decommissioning.
Regulated healthcare software
FDA, EU MDR and HIPAA contexts; DICOM and HL7 integrations; requirements, design, DFMEA and end-to-end traceability.
Applied AI engineering
Specialised sub-agents, workflow orchestration, RAG, code-derived knowledge graphs and MCP-based tool integration.
Testing & quality
MSTest, NUnit, BDD with Behave and ReqnRoll, UI automation, and static analysis with Coverity, SonarQube and Fortify.

How I work
- Modernise in small, safe steps. Run old and new side by side, shift users gradually and retire legacy only at parity.
- Root causes over workarounds. Understand why something breaks before deciding how to fix it.
- Ground AI in real context. Agents are only as good as the project knowledge and tools they can reach.
- Documentation is part of delivery. Clear requirements, design notes and traceability make systems easier to trust and change.
Things I enjoy
- Applied AI and agentic engineering workflows
- Untangling and modernising legacy systems
- Clear technical writing and documentation
